Semi-automated laser cutting system
for ALCO GmbH.

That was the task.
Construction of a semi-automated laser cutting system for the production of medical stents from thin-walled stainless steel piping.

We were able to solve that too.
A light and quick torque motor rotating axle was developed and this was mounted in turn on a linear motor-driven positioning table.

A gripper system and pneumatic closure of the chuck allow for CNC-controlled feeding of the pipe after each cut.

The pipes are held in position as close to the cutting nozzle as possible by a graphite die in order to prevent vibrations resulting from the cutting gas stream.

The result is so compact.
Clean construction and integration into the facility.
